[Shotimes] overflow resevoir

An alternative to the JB Weld, a 2 part expoy material, is to heat weld the
crack. The tank material is polyethylene and will heat weld with a soldering
gun at minimal temperature without degrading to material properties. You can
use a plastic milk bottle if filler material is required to fill a crack and
to reinforce the area. As with the JB fix, cleaning and sanding the area is
imperative to a successful repair.

I've fixed a couple tanks this way a prefer to the JB fix because it's
repaired without adding a different material that has different properities,
such as thermal coefficient of expansion of the mechanical patch, which
could ultimately fail due to shearing of the "mechanical" patch.

All that said, I've heard of several sucessful JB repairs.

You can still buy a new tank from Ford.
