HUH? Your moving the whole Subframe up! You would not get any difference in
rack mounting points in relation to the tie rods. The best way to do that
would be install the Gen 3 Al Knuckles, the tie rod perches are higher. ( so
I hear)
As far as the SFb thickness for the gen 2-3 swap, I made them out of wood as
a template, in the Hat design vs the ring design and was not that difficult.
Im not sure about hanging a clutch though because I have not had and wont
for a while any time to look.

I've had ppl ask me about shaving a set of the AL SFB's that I have made and
sell. I never understood this entirely. I thought it was to raise the
subframe closer to the body and therby raising the rack a little to bring
back the slight angle to the tie rod ends. But isn't raising the engine
counterproductive to keeping the center of gravity low?
Kirk how thick of a bushing would be needed to make a V6 fit in a Gen 3
body? Are there places on the gen 3 body for a clutch predal and all thator
would the car still have to be an ATX?

after thinking about it a little more, I realized that the strut mounting
points (strut to car, strut to spindle) and spring height/stiffness are what
really dictate the ride height. Shaving the subframe bushings wouldn't lower
the car, but would instead add positive camber. Something I'm not interested
in..
Still, there's gotta be somebody who tried it... :)
