Why would shorter sway bar endlinks cause the car to ride lower?  All
they would do is change the angle of the sway bar, i.e., it would no
longer be level with the ground.

You car will ride a bit lower, and will also be stiffer. You also have
the ability to change the rake (sp) of the car a bit as well. Go here
