Well, I feel that if Valvoline wasn't good enough for our SHOs then Snowwind would have developed problems in the head by now...............
I do and will continue to use regular Valvoline 5W30 and have NOTHING to complain about.......................
I do practice devoted 3K or 3 month changes of the oil however,,,,,,,,,,and so it follows that that may be his lifesaver!

My only interest in oil is that I tend to be a "dino" guy versus a
"synthetic" guy, but have even used synth on occasion. Leaving the synth
arguments alone, even amongst dino oils there are folks who hate Castrol,
Pennzoil, Quaker State, Valvoline, and probably others that I haven't
thought of.

Sorry, I feel that it's all a pile of crap. I just go with getting the
correct grade, and do religious 3K oil and filter changes. All of the other
hoo-ha is just hot air. Since it is virtually impossible to do definitive,
real-world test over many years and many miles, claims about oil will always
keep sounding like snake-oil claims. Probably the most definitive testing
has been with our SHOs. Many have been driven hard for well over
150-175-200K miles, using every kind of oil (and filter type) under the sun,
and nothing has emerged as the clear-cur answer.

He's not a wrench jockey. It from the analysis and comparisons of the oil
in both its original "virgin" state, and after use. I think what it really
shows is that even "bad" oil ain't too shabby these days. If you've never
looked at the site, its pretty interesting. You should see what the Lucas
additive does to gear oil, talk about bad...

Well, with (now over 200K) on my well-driven-hard-on-a-daily basis SHO that
I sold with over 180K, Valvoline did just fine (it was the most-common oil
that I used). If that's the opinion of Bob-The-Oil-Opinioned-Wrench-Jockey,
I humbly submit that his opinion isn't worth a flying fornication from my
standpoint. And basically it tells me that I can forget about wasting my
time reading about any of his other "opinions".

Hey, I should start a website and become the SME (Subject Matter Expert)
that says the opinion of oil guys is worth what you paid for it!!

Any performance engine that endured 7K runs 5-10 times a day for 10 years
and 180K miles is proof enough for me about how an oil will perform.

According to bobistheoilguy.com Valvoline is some of the worst oil you can
buy...

Valvoline yellows them too.
