Re an earlier post about how sauna should be pronounced...

I had the misfortune of being at the office this afternoon, trying to catch
up on some work issues. One of these was to read up on some PowerPoint
presentations for a proposed project in Finland that we are bidding on. At
the end of one of these presentations was some Finnish vocabulary, with the
Finnish spelling and the phoenetic prounciation. Would you believe one of
the vocabulary words was sauna? The correct pronunciation was indicated as
"sow-nah"? So, where the author of the earlier post thought he had it right,
he (and I) would be the butt of jokes were we in Finland.  :-)
