I jsut started work myself on gasket matching a set of intake runners I
picked up off ebay. I'm actually off to pick up an extra gasket right now
cause I was dumb the last time I had my intake off and didn't scan or trace
the outline. Anyhow, Anyone thinking of going further than just gasket
matching and possibly BBB's/enlarging the secondaries might want to take a

seems to be well known for tuning sportbike engines and I've asked some
local ppl I know that are big into crotch rockets. They've all heard of this
guy and a few have had work done by shops that apply some of what he talks
about. Basically he saying what David was, if you enlarge too much you'll
lose velocity and thereby possibly lose perfromance. I'm eventually going to
have a spare set of 3.0 heads and I was going to try his velozity porting
concepts. The runners themselves can be enlarged a little and BBB's on
enlarged secondaries makes sense, but I'm thinking that changing the flow,
direction and making the last turn into the head slightly smaller will
increase the air velocity. Thereby giving more air into the cylinder a
better mix of fuel, and some possible gains. Course just to try it out will
require wasting a headgasket if it don't have any effect. I doubt it would
help any on a car that was planned to be SC'd down the line. Oh well I'm off
to get my gaskets and some berrymans to clean these intake runners out.
