Actually, trucks started to get tarty in the mid '70s - you could get power 
windows, power door locks, plush this and that, etc.  Leather wasn't even 
common in cars then, frankly I wish it were less common now.  The 
20"-chrome-wheel Ridiculous B.L.I.N.G look didn't come along until a few 
years ago.

I see 'em all the time, white paint, steel wheels.

And the manufacturers love them because they cost $50 more to build than do 
the work trucks, and sell for $10K more.

You need to find another dealer, one with less inventory sitting on the 
front lot that they need to move.
