Thanks all for your tips on shipping a sway bar. Since I wanted some sort of
protective wrap, I stopped by my local hardware on the way home tonight.
Found the perfect packaging in the plumbing dept - 7/8th's ID foam water
pipe insulation, at $2.49 per 6 ft length. It fits over the 24mm bar
perfectly and is worth the minor expense just for the amusement. Anybody
ever seen a 2-1/2" diameter front sway bar?  LOL!
