Josh,
I just filled my tranny yesterday with Syncromesh, and I love it. It is
soooo smooth now, and my 2nd gear grind when cold is just about gone. I
still pause a half sceond while it is cold but it is so much better. I also
found that since last night that the shifts are much smoother. And thats
with only 2 qt's of fluid, cause I could only get 2 of the 3 qts of ATF out.
I don't have a drain plug yet, and siphoning thru a .170in diameter hose
took about 1.5 hours, but I was installing my y-pipe at the same time so it
was all good.
You can pick up Pennzoil Syncromesh at Autozone for $3.99 to $4.99 a QT.
Dealer price is like $9+. Come summer I'll put a drain plug in and refill
with 3 qts again. But it is a night and day difference. I like it.
