May be of interest, Rod hadfield who runs a Hot rod supply business in
Australia has finally completed his 55 Chev Bel Air two door with
Packard/Merlin V12 motorvation. Allegedely 3000HP making it the most
powerful street legal car in the world. It is on full street registration

I know it has been done before July 1974 "The Beast" Rolls Royce look alike
built by John Dodd.
Was sued by Rolls Royce for using their grille on his car. 200 MPH no
trouble, apart from the law enforcement people :-))

I thought of squeezing one of these massive power plants into my Mk 4
Zephyr. Got as far as measuring it all up, but decided (probably quite
wisely) that it was too much of an  engineering challange. Used a common Jag
six instead :-)

Fuel economy??????
Engine was used in P51 Mustang fighter plane.
