Does anyone know about the charging system fuse links?
I was checking the charging/alternator system last night. Looks like I have an open circuit to the input of the voltage regulator part of the alternator. Helms instructs to "fix fuse link F". Well, Fuse Link F is located in the vicinity of the left strut tower (down there among a bunch of other cables and hoses.) It took me a while to find the Fuse Link. See, it's not marked in any way. It just hangs there with all these other cables and hoses. I had to strip away the electrical tape to expose the wire to confirm that this was the right Fuse Link.
Anyway, the Fuse Link F appears to simply be a connector. When disconnecting it there is one thick pin in one half of the connector, and a large hole in the other connector half. I'm suspecting the pin itself is the Fuse and that it can be pulled out.
Can anyone confirm this?
