 They are called fusible links. They are just wires that burn in two if the
current exceeds their rating. What's bad about them is they look fine from
the outside even when burned up! Always check for a connection using a
meter. You may have one burned in two and just can't tell by looking.

located in the vicinity of the left strut tower (down there among a bunch of
other cables and hoses.) It took me a while to find the Fuse Link. See, it's
not marked in any way. It just hangs there with all these other cables and
hoses. I had to strip away the electrical tape to expose the wire to confirm
that this was the right Fuse Link.
