The SHO shares the same bolt pattern with all Ford 60-degree V6 engines and
Ford 4-cylinders (2.3L Lima, not sure about Zetec). The T5's in the
Aerostar, Ranger, Mustang, etc that used a standard 4-cylinder or "small" V6
will not hold up behind a SHO engine. You must use one from a turbocharged
engine (Thunderbird Turbo, Cougar XR7 turbo, Mustang SVO or GT Turbo, Capri
RS Turbo). You CANNOT use a T5 from a V8 or any 90-degree V6, as the bolt
pattern is different. I don't think you can get a Tremec with a small bolt
pattern. The Tremec would be great, if it could fit, because even the turbo
T5's aren't that great.
Hope this helps some.
