[Shotimes] AMSOIL By-pass filter

I have not found a place to put the dual remote. I believe Don M. has just a
single remote bypass in his '89. Most people I have heard that mount them,
do it where the ABS controller would be on an ABS car.

Amsoil's take on the whole filtering thing is that if you use their oil and
their bypass filter, you get the oil analyzed every so often and it will
tell you when to change the filters and when to change the oil.

There are stories that they put out monthly in their dealer magazines of
people running hundreds of thousands of miles without changing the oil.

Personally, since I don't have the bypass filter installed, I change the
filter every 6 months or 12,500 miles and the oil every year or 25,000
miles.

Amsoil sells several bypass filters. To read the options, go to
http://www.amsoil.com/products/bf.html

The bypass filter elements run from $26.25 - $31.95 (list). The mounting
kist run from $161 - $201. I personally have the BMK-13 sitting in my
garage. Maybe I'll put it on my Explorer since it has room.

If you plan on buying any of these expensive things, it would be cheaper to
become an Amsoil dealer since the discount is substantial. You can become
one for 6 months for $10.

If you want to do that or just buy the stuff outright, just let me know
since I am an Amsoil dealer.

As fo compatability with dino oil, I would assume so but I do not know for
sure.
