Just an observation here, doing the cam welds on the V8 like I have been
doing I have made one significant observation. ALL the cars that use MOBIL 1
have been so clean I cant believe the difference from all the others. The
term fits" you can eat off of it"

Pennzoil, and Valveoline were not so nice. And Im being very nice :)

You are entitled to your opinion, but a LOT of experts in
the industry know that Synthetic does help reduce wear in a
motor.  It is just fine for SHO cams and shims.  Nothing
exotic in the setup.  If you knew oil you would know that
film strenth is what helps keep parts apart, and a good
synthetic is MUCH better in that respect than regular oil.

I like the better hot AND cold characteristics of synthetic,
and even with the cost of oil analysis, I can keep my costs
with quality synthetic about the same as using cheap dyno
juice every 3000 miles, and I don't have to crawl under the
car but about 1/3 to 1/5 as often, that means something to
me if not you.

Flame away, we will agree to disagree, but I believe in
synthetic and I have enough proof to  convince me that I am
doing the right thing.

Better filtering is always a good thing, after all the other
costs of these cars (or any modern car you keep beyond
warranty) a puny 100 bucks or so for top notch filtering and
a few bucks extra for the best oil is NOTHING!
