Yeah...all he needs to do now is pay the rent, 6 years after the fact, and reimburse
me the $32,000 it cost me to fix the foundation since he didn't keep the gutters
free of leaves from that Mulberry tree that is in the front yard, causing them to
overflow and drown the foundation at the right front corner of the house, causing it
to sink 1.5 inches, breaking the interior sheetrock and causing me to have to use 5
Chance Anchors going down 19 feet into the ground in that corner to raise it up so
that the whole thing wouldn't need to be bulldozed.
(That's why painting the truck was free....!)
Thanks, anyway!!
We're selling this house when we move to the new one. It's too nice to rent
out...no one would take care of the inside enough to make it viable. It hasn't
moved a millimeter since 1999 when I fixed the foundation. But I don't want to sell
it to anyone I know, since if it isn't watched like a hawk, it will start shifting
again, and I won't be responsible. It's fixed, so I don't mind disclosing the
facts....but it's gotta be taken care of, or it will become the Titanic again (like
all the houses on this street).
