Hard to absolutely tell from the pictures, but the body looks straight, and
a lack of leather care will definitely make the older-style leather SHO
seats crack like that. FWIW, my old one-owner (me) '89 was in better shape
(except for the rust) than my current '95 with half the miles, it's all how
they were cared for.

Why not?  There are a lot of sub 100k mile Gen1s out there.  My '90 only has
90k miles, and it hasn't been sitting around with a dead clutch for who
knows how long. like the one on EBAY.
