And the number is not exactly arbitrary, as it a conversion of the specific
amount of work the average  mine horse could do in one minute (raise 33,000
Lbs one foot, or 3300 Lbs 10ft, or 330Lbs 100 ft, etc.).

Now since we have geared the horses out of the equation (try hooking 220
horses up to your sho and see what happens, and also try to pull with your
sho the weight that 200 horses can pull at walking speed) I think it's time
to move on to a more useful performance factor.
