Yeah, whatever you do, DON'T tow without a transmission cooler! The
automatic transmissions in our SHOs have enough problems just hauling the
car itself around, not to mention a trailer loaded down with a bunch of
people in the car. If it were me, I'd rent a U-Haul truck haul your stuff
and trailer to tow the SHO, but if that's not possible, get that
transmission cooler!

I towed a 1500 lb trailer with a 3.0 Ranger and the damn transmission
overheated on me and puked trans fluid everywhere. I swore I killed the
tranny, but I limped it the rest of the way home, had it inspected, and
lucked out that I only needed to flush it. Needless to say, I had a cooler
installed at the same time. This was on a truck that was supposed to have
the "towing package" from the factory. Their idea of a factory transmission
cooler was rediculous! With the oversize cooler on it, the truck has done
great the past 20,000+ miles, including a lot of heavy towing.

Just remember that U-Haul's lightest covered moving trailer is over 800 lbs
empty. Once you load your stuff in it, you'll probably be pushing 1500 lbs
or more!

Good luck with your move!
