[Shotimes] Buzzing/grinding on startup

Given all other input on this subject here's what I have to say. Both my
car and Steve Tatro's do it as well. Steve's is a '93 ATX and mine is a '95
MTX.

I have tried turning the engine over for several seconds by keeping the gas
peddle on the floor to get the oil flowing and this does not help the noise.
This leads me to believe that the noise is not coming from the bearings or
an oiled part of the engine. The noise is too brief to be a belt
slipping... plus it sounds nothing like a belt slipping. All other things
being equal, I'm leaning towards the P/S system or something else all
together... who knows?

Also, for those of you referring to a fart... I think you may be hearing a
different noise. This one is most definitely a buzz type sound. The
closest thing I can think of is the sound you get from a kazoo or a reed on
a wind instrument only more pronounced. The sound lasts only for a quick
second or two and has a very rapid fade out.
