Life can be so simple sometimes!
If I'm just cruising along ~2k rpms, drop 2 gears and go, if I'm around 4k
its 1 gear and go. I know the sounds and feel my SHO feeds back to me
without having to look at the tach or light to tell me when to shift!
I wish I knew always knew what the feedback my wife gives me meant!

Not exactly. I have never seen or used a shift light, but doesn't it just
light up at the optimal point to shift to the next gear? No, this would be
used for when I am just cruising at 45 and the IROC-Z next to me wants to
play. I would look at the display, and it tells me that I need to hit 2nd
or 3rd or whatever, and off I go. Make sense?
