Ah come-on, think outside of the box for a change!!!!

Gas tank becomes a fuel cell in the non-usable trunk...

I saw a tricked out 5.8l RWD Grand AM GT at the Summer Nationals a few years
back running 10's!

I believe the Focus can be made RWD because it comes in AWD in Europe, so
it's not that much work.  The Taurus would be tough to convert.  Where would
you put the gas tank?  It would never be worth the time, effort or money.
