That's correct Don. I was wondering the exact same thing when I went to put
my SS y-pipe on a while ago. So I called the Sho Shop and asked just to
make sure when I was putting it on. They told me they are universal cats
and it doesn't matter which way they are put on. What else do you have for
an exhaust after the y-pipe? I found that the rasp was horrible after
installing my y-pipe although the extra HP was very nice. Recently I
changed out my dynomax cat-back system with the following: dynomax
resonator (from cat-back system) right after the flex joint, followed by a
MagnaFlow resonator after the gear box, and then topped off with two
Flowmaster mufflers. The tone is awesome and I like the setup more and more
as I drive it. The extra resonator reduces the rasp to almost nothing and
the tone is nice. Have fun with your y-pipe!
