[Shotimes] Red hot rotors

If rear rotor (you didn't specify), it could be the e-brake was on, was
drakking, a capiler was dragging, he had his foot on the brake, etc.

If a front, eliminate the e-brake as a possibility.

The cold should not affect the brake fluid itself.  Perhaps it might have
caused a problem with the caliper or something.
