Yes it does. I can't find it right now in the Helms, but the EATC uses input from
the outside sensor to determine whether to supply relatively warm air, or cool air,
to the inside of the car at a given set/desired temperature depending on what the
outside temperature is. In other words, if the outside air is 65F, the EATC will
supply warm air to the inside, through the heater outlets, when it is set to 70
degrees and in the AUTO mode. If the outside air is 100 degrees, it will turn on
the a/c system and supply cool air to the inside, trying to maintain a temperature
of 70 degrees. I see my system do this every day in the summer.
