I don't really understand your question about "key element", but if you have
a stock or just BOS SHO, 5w-30 or 10w-30 should be fine. 15w-50 would be
better if you had a turbocharged SHO, or if you road raced your SHO.
You need the oil to flow, to remove heat, but you also need the oil to stay,
to provide lubrication. If the oil flows too quickly, it will not remove as
much heat, if flows too slowly, it will coke (given enough heat). You are
really looking for a balance between the two, so stay with what the
manufacturer recommends if your SHO is stock, BOS, or not raced regularly
(at a track).
