    I saved my 89 from the boneyard and built it it up to flog the crap out
of it everytime it hits the track.  That's priceless :)

Personally, if you are willing to go flog a $40k car on a track, then be
prepared to get it dinged up a bit (or wrecked!).  Just a few weeks ago at
summit point after a guy spun out and left the track surface full of dirt
and rocks, me, a C5 vette, and a couple of bimmers all went through there
WOT nose to tail.  sounded like I was getting shot with a machine gun.
Didn't bother me, hey what's another chip or dent up front.  But I can't
imagine the other guys with the expensive iron, running a $50k Z06 through
that with no headlight or front nose covers.  It's nice to have a track only
car that you don't care about.  As long as it looks decent from 30 ft away
:)
