When we used to balance on the car, we had a pretty powerful electric motor that would spin the non-drive wheels up to a high speed. I think my dad said it would go over 70 mph. For the drive wheels we would just jack up one side of the car and run the car up to 35 or 40 mph, which through the spider gears actually ran the wheel up to 70 to 80 mph. Back in those days there was very little chance of finding posi-trac differentials. This procedure would cause all kinds of problems with the weak differentials in SHO's.
