I'm about to replace the AC clutch on my 92. I have Helms plus the
instructions that came with the parts. It seems pretty clear. Just three
questions:
--- It appears the "clutch" action is actually metal-to-metal contact
between the hub and pulley. Am I missing something? Really? Metal to
metal?
--- What items will I need to remove to be able to get at the compressor?
Should I go in from above or below?
--- I have no reason to think there's any problem with the field coil. But
the kit I bought does include a brand new coil. Should I do the coil as
long as I'm in there, or leave it alone?
Thanks.
