Mine does exactly the same thing (125K miles). I haven't worried too much about it, but would be interested in hearing what the problem is if you find out.

Hello Everyone.
Thx for taking the time to read this.
My SHO is a 94 w/ 110K miles. I had a complete 60K service done last
summer
at 90K.
When I start my car even during the warm weather the car surges to
2100-2300
rpm and then immediately goes to normal idle rpm.
If I go around town and turn off the engine it will not do that. It only
does it in the morning when the engine is nice and cold.
I cleaned the idle air bypass valve, I think that is what its called (part
opposite side of the throttle body inside the big outer runners)
Should I change this part IAB?
I cannot help but think I am wearing this engine out upon startups.
