John is definitely correct about avoiding downtown for anyone passing
through from any direction. Even if you are coming in Ii44 or I-55, detour
I-270 S as John described.
One point: If you are taking I-270 N/E to bypass the downtown area, I-270E
intersects with I-55N several miles past the I-255S cutoff . Do not take
I-255S but stay on I-270E to I-55N.
On the other hand, If you take the I-270N/E route, I'll wave at you as you
go by :^)
