[Shotimes] Considering buying a Gen 3 - Carfax please?

The struts don't bounce because the car is off. Turn on the key and they
will loosen up all the way. The struts are controlled by the Semi Active
Ride Control and will work as needed. I have mine at full hard all the time
and love it, otherwise it probably needs new struts at 106K and if you want
the cushy ride.
The coils and rear coil wiring will be suspect as will the IRM being all
carboned up.

Ah, darn, my webhost's webmail function can be a bit touchy at times, my
email came through blank on Shotimes for me as well. In my original
message I commented that I was aware of the cam problems, but I was
wondering if there was anything else in particular to look out for,
since V8SHO.com isn't nearly as detailed as Shotimes.com.
Anyway, I took a look at a green 1996 SHO with 106000 miles today. The
seller was asking for about US$5500. He is an old retired-looking guy,
and claims to be the original owner, says he's getting on in his years
and wants a newer car. He has lots of service records proving that he's
kept up with the normal service intervals for the tranny, PS pump, and
just about everything else-- the only problem he's had with the car has
been the water pump, replaced 2 years ago. Tires are new, but not much
else has been replaced. The struts feel like they're in near-new
condition (push a corner of the car down, it doesn't come up
particularly quickly, and doesn't bounce at all). The car's interior is
in near-mint condition, all power accessories work. The car's exterior
is in very good condition, with only a handful of parking lot scrapes,
most with embedded paint the same colour as his parking garage. I've
seen this guy's ads in the local classifieds paper for the last 3 weeks,
and he just dropped the price $500, and told me that I was the first
person to take a look at the car. I'm *very* strongly considering
placing an offer on this car.
By any chance could somebody with one of those unlimited-carfax accounts
please run this car's VIN for me? The number is:
1FALP54N9TA262907
Thanks for any help or suggestions anybody might be able to offer!

wanting one you can get a good deal. Just shop around and ignore the people
who want high prices.
