Can't say that I have, but I have seen a brand new DieHard battery killed
permanently in the space of about 10 seconds (in 1992, under warranty) by a bad
ignition switch (in Lowrider), which had as its symptoms of dying....starting the
engine, no instruments, no tach, no lights, no EATC, no radio. Turn the key off,
then start again, and all is normal. One more time, and it's screwed up again.
Finally, it died in the driveway, and had to be towed. This was one of those
"non-recalled" failed ignition switches, that wouldn't EVER catch the car on fire,
even though it SWALLOWED WHOLE 800 Amps of power in 5 seconds.

Bahhhhh!!
