Actually, they interviewed her on local TV last night and she though it was
much ado about nothing.

All I'm saying is that if a fan punches a mascot in it's big soft head, they
will get charged with assault. This moron did it with a bat and swung it. I
agree it ended up being little or no injury (scraped knees and fingers) but
it could of been worse.

I agree that society is to sue happy but this is a case of a spoiled rich
athlete getting away with something.

Oh c'mon Paul, he hit IT in the head - HER head was quite a bit lower
than that (that costume was at least 4 feet taller than she is. I'd
imagine her head was somewhere closer to the middle of the suit). On top
of that, he hardly swung very hard at her.

Typical of this society anymore to make such a fuss over nothing. I'm
surprised that she hasn't claimed paralysis or something.

He hit her in the head with a baseball bat. He got a slap on the wrist.
If I were the sausage, I would of pressed charges. Looking at the video,
he swung. I think the commissioner should suspend and fine him as well.
If a fan had done this, they'd still be in jail.
