My local auto-upholstery guy told me that to refresh foam cushions, they use
steam. It must work, because the leather seat bottom that he refurbed for
me still is plump and firm.
(Okay, I just used the words leather, bottom, plump, and firm in a sentence.
Let's not get off on a tangent.)
It's not too bad a job to tear down a SHO seat to get the leather off. Once
the back and bottom are separated, peeling the leather off is a matter of
opening several wire rings.
Chris, find a local shop and talk to them.

Is it possible to redo the foam seat cushion and keep the leather upholstery
intact? Or, can one buy a new bottom seat cushion? The previous owner of
my car must have been a big guy because when I got the car the seat was
soft, now it is even worse. I'd like a nice firm seat.
