I've been kicking around the idea also of taking a set of passenger cushions
from a seat and using the driver seat leather in my car to cover the
cushions. I think you could actually disasemble the seat and use the parts
to replace wornt out stuff on your drivers seat. At least it seems that way
from the Gen 2 seats.
I have all the leather seats outta my car right nos and just have one of my
95 SE seats bolted up while the leatherones are being conditioned inside 2
times a day. Funny thing I noticed, my SE has SHO 50/50 seats, and since it
is an ATX, wouldn't you know it Ford left an autolock switch on the seat,
but the SE I have has no keypad or keyless entry. So that part is beeing
added to my leather SHO seats that will be reinstalled tomorrow night. From
taking apart the SE seat, it looks like everything in it is an exact match
for the passenger seat of my SHO leathers. So I'd venture a guess that you
can take any passenger seat and make it into a drivers seat. And 95% of the
time the passenger seat is perfect new feeling foam. I know my SHO passenger
leather seat is wayyyyy more comfortable than my drivers seat.
