Make sure you're using a 1/2" socket. I busted a couple 3/8 wrenches in the process of removing mine.
I haven't been following the list too much lately, and don't know what all you're fixing - but man have I gained a bunch of info from it. Hope this helps. Forget about hand turning the thing off!

I can't get the crank bolt off. We tried connecting the battery and keying
the car over once but the flywheel wont turn. Then I tried standing on the
brakes while my dad tried to torque off the bolt but the motor still wanted to
turn. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong so the flywheel will stay tight?
