No.  This was a Ford-Cosworth motor, built last year for CART when CART
announced it was going to adopt the 3.5l normally aspirated engine rules
that the IRL was using.  CART did an about face on that and stuck with the
turbocharged engines.  So the motor sat there, unneeded, since Ford was not
a player in the IRL.
