The amplifier rating is the amps ability to deliver current into a
specified load without exceeding the design parameters. A one ohm rated
amp can drive a load that is equivalent to one ohm, comfortably. And that
is more complex than it sounds because the ohm rating is not resistance
(R), but impedance (Z), and that is frequency dependent and determined by
the series/parallel combination of the capacitance and inductance of the
drivers and crossover networks, as well as their DC resistance.
If the amplifier rating is for a lower impedance load that the
speakers are, everything is great. The higher the impedance, the less
current draw from the amps and the vehicle, the more stable and long lived
will be the amps. There is no reason to go to a lower impedance speaker to
match the amps. There are other reasons to do/not do this. I suggest
doing some reading up on this as fewer people understand the subject than
are conversant with it.

I believe that SP is the fastest strip around. Too bad it is
usually booked year around. Try Citrus Heights. Other than that, the only
alternative that I know of is Bakersfield.
