Which is why you face the sub/s away from you so it reflects off the back of
the trunk and thus has a longer time to form.  If tuned correctly just about
any car can win a sound-off with just a few subs.  Of course you can always
screw tuning, and pack as many subs as you can in a vehicle.  I've got 4,
and they face up.  It's the most inefficient design I can think of, yet it
still puts out 140.2dbs from 200watts of 4ohm IASCA rated power.

Acoustically there are only a few vehicles that make for good sound systems,
and one of them is a mini-van.  I guess the family guy plan isn't as bad as
it sounds..........no pun intended.  <G>
