[Shotimes] Tach Issue

Question for the group. This only happened once, but I was curious if there
was anything to check out.

Got my new tires and a 4-wheel alignment the other day. As I was driving
home, about a mile from the tire sore I noticed that tach was not working.
Car started fine , ran fine, etc. This went on for another few miles, and I
then noticed the tach was functioning again. In the dozen times I've started
it & driven it since then, it's been fine.

Any cause/reason for this? Anything to look at? It's the '94 MTX.
