for some reason, after i have driven for about 2 minutes or more, my engine
likes to rev up to about 2200 rpms, in neutral or park.  As long as I keep
it in gear, the rpm's stay around 1200, like at a red light.  It used to
always idle at about 6 to 700 rpms in gear at a stop.
I'm sure it's a sensor of somekind that has gone vigilante on me, but in the
mean time, my gas mileage is that of an 18 wheeler with a full load and my
transmission is taking some serious hits during shifting.  This is a '97 sho
v8.  Anyone have any ideas ???
