[Shotimes] Problem with shifting and w/ rough idle.. help

When I busted the PP strap at the '96 SHOcago Convention, it was on a Ford
clutch with almost 80K on it. I then had the full Bolt On Stage installed,
and I also got the HiRevs Jr. clutch. Cars with the BOS generally put out
250-255 at the flywheel. It was a nice clutch. Can't say it was "better"
than the stock Ford, but when I sold it to Tim Pavlik, there was about 47K
on the clutch and it was still fine.

Why the high $$$ clutch? Sounds like you just have a basic bolt-on stage
anyway. A stock Ford, or HiRevs Jr. would work fine. A heavier-duty clutch
is needed if torque is increased a bunch (like a blower, turbo, or serious
cams/headwork), but Mark Nunnally was turning his 12.90s with nitrous & drag
radials on a stock clutch.

Well i'm seriously afraid of my trannies condition,
but must wait over 2 weeks for enough moolah to get
the IPT Stage 4 clutch and IPT LSD... Another 2 weeks
to install it. It shifts smooth as silk when at idling
and downshifts ok, but hates the upshifts. Doesn't
grind like my '91s tranny did and doesn't have that
choppy gate passage when at extremely low speeds like
my '91s syncros did. Unforunately I will have to drive
the shaggalic while the sho is outta commission.

BTW, it's a Jr Revs clutch from Sho Shop, so it
supposedly has reinforced straps and rivets for the
PP... I'm afraid that will become something to my
disadvantage rather then benefiting from the
reinforced parts. Maybe it's because the car is
*possibly* pushing the 260hp mark at the flywheel? :-\
I didn't get this clutch installed so i really can't
say why this certain one was chosen.
