I think the MT5 had a 2.5L, while the others you mention had a 2.3L.

Scroll down a bit to read about the engines.  The 2.5L had only 90 HP, but
130 pound feet!

Was wondering if the MT5 4 banger wasn't the same block as the Turbo T-Bird
and the 'Stang SVO?

Maybe you could get the turbo parts, turn up the pressure and have a 5 speed
that would be quicker than a slightly modded SHO?

Suspension parts and mods would be the same.
