FW: [Shotimes] Putting a keyless entry door on a non-keyless entry car

Paul,

I don't plan to install the keyless entry control module to get
the keyless entry system to work, I only want to get the push button
door switches working again properly. They worked fine until I swapped
out doors.

I used a BFH and a large punch yesterday to "re-calibration" the
door frame a bit. The "Door Ajar" light now works as advertised.

I have a Ford Taurus shop manual and plan to go over the wiring
differences between the "keyless" and "non-keyless" doors. I suspect
that in addition to removing the keyless pad wiring from the circuit,
there may be more that I need to do (cut wires, add wires, ?).

Thanks for your help,

Before I take things apart again, are their any tricks installing a
keyless entry door on a car that was not originally equipped with
keyless entry? (Disconnect, cut or jumper wires?)?

You will probably need to get the control module out of the trunk of the
donor car to make the keyless door work or figure out how to remove the
keyless pad from the circuit.
