Time for a new A/C clutch. Yes, you can play with the shims, but once you
get that far into it, you might as well just replace the clutch, as removing
a shim is just a stopgap measure, anyway.

Subject: [Shotimes] A/C problems
Got a little problem with my A/C that I was hoping that you wonderful people
may be able to help me out with. When I turn my A/C on the blower turns on,
engine cooling fan turns on, but no cold air. System is fully charged and
no leaks so that part is good to go. But my the clutch on the compressor
will not engage. I can turn it with one finger so I know it did not seize
and the electrical connection looks good, tried to test it and got a small
reading back but I'm not sure if I got the tester in far enough. I was
reading about the shims on the web site and I was wondering if that could be
it or the only thing that could be causing this. Are there any relays that
could be bad? Oh ya and the A/C really hasn't worked since I got it a year
ago. Well, thanks for the help in advance.
