[Shotimes] WAY OT- TCCA

So to get this straight, TCCA members should go to SHOforum to get your mods
list? Maybe you did put it there, I don't go there often so I have not
checked, but it was asked for on the TCCA.
The downward spiral thing is bullshit. There are many more successful meets
now than ever, and our first annual is this year. Maybe the content is not
what you're looking for, but that's an individual opinion. Not every list
is going to satisfy everyone. Heck, I find this one boring as hell, although
it is the first place I would come for info on my 89, provided Kirk or Fred
did not have an answer.
The V8 list is entertaining, and there's really not a lot of available
subjects car related for the Gen 3's. Everything has pretty much been
covered at one point or another. As the cars get older and different
maintenance issues come up, I expect the list will take a turn more towards
the content of this list.
As far as TCCA bashing, it's been done by you in the past "Burn down the
TCCA"? So that's what I base my opinions on. I know, it was said because
you got banned or something, but that tag line was in your sig on many
forums even after the ban was lifted. You took out your frustrations with
an individual on a whole club.
Anyhow, I suppose this discussion could go on for weeks. Most SHO people do
not find what they need on the TCCA, and that's what I'm looking to change.
There has been a regular influx of registrations from the SHOforum, as well
as the V8 list. We are headed in the right direction already.
As far as presenting a challenge to you, and "dumbfounfing" the members, the
point is to present the information in a manner that the general public can
use. In example, I put a Diablo Chip in a customer's car last week. All
most people want to know is how it will change the car in terms of throttle
response, acceleration, top speed, etc. Only the true gearheads will want
to know every last spec of the fuel and ignition tables, etc. I feel that
"dumbfounding" posts are made to make the poster sound that much more
intelligent, all the while confusing the members. Needless, IMO.
Well, there's my biased viewpoint, like it or not. : )
My apologies to the list for going so OT.
