Have you checked the pressure switch? My 97 did the opposite - wouldn't
engage the compressor. Had the switch replaced under warranty at the
time.

I'd check that before declaring the compressor toast. It'd be a helluva
lot easier to change and a whole lot cheaper!

Anyone have any idea why my ac clutch engages and never disengages?

I have let all the pressure out of the system, clutch wont engage, then
I start to add some 134a the clutch will lock up and never let go.. any
ideas?
