NEVERMIND - WAS RE: [Shotimes] Size of Rear Hub/Bearing Nut?

There are several grades of rod ends. Some wear and stretch faster than
others, but the all were to some degree. My experiences with dirt late
model racing included replacing some of the light duty versions every few
weeks, if wrecks didn't create the need beforehand. It's not so much that
the ball wears as it is the body stretching. Two years on a control arm rod
end is plenty. Play it safe and get new ones.

Take a look at http://www.stockcarproducts.com/rodend.htm. They have a few
choices.

Well, I pulled the wheel, caliper and rotor and it's definitely not the
wheel bearing. Upon closer inspection, it seems to be the heim joints
themselves. Now I'm almost positive that it's the front ones only that
have some play in them, but I'll have to drop them one corner at a time
to be sure.

So, my NEW question is, has anyone ever had their solid heim joints wear
on them? Mine have been on the car for about 2 seasons now...not sure
about the mileage. It'll be interesting to see if it's the inside or
outside ones or all four that are shot.
