[Shotimes] EEC-IV Self Test

Hey all,
 
I'm trying to do this self test for the first time. I have found the 6
way connector and two one pin connectors. One pin connector #1 disables
my tach and one pin connector #2 engages my fan and disables my check
engine light. Hooking the wire to either pin doesn't seem to be working.
First, any suggestions as to which pin I am supposed to use and second,
is there anything to do besides just turning the key on. I read the
article and SHO Times FAQ's but I am just looking for verification as
neither of the two pins seems to run the test.
